The vacant lot. The vertical pole behind the stop sign used to be an Idlewild Church sign, but after it was damaged by a car, the church just left it to rot. A big (6X4?) crosspiece was hanging by a thread at the top of the pole for months before it fell off. God saw to it that the heavy timber did not hurt any pedestrians or bus riders.
